Notes:
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are SIM-only in Mainland China, and eSIM-only in Bahrain, Canada, Guam, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the USA.
iPhone Air is Apple’s first globally eSIM-only iPhone (now available in Hong Kong), with no physical SIM card tray in any market. This marks a significant step toward a fully digital SIM future, eliminating the need to swap SIM cards for international travel.
iPhone 13 and 14 models can have two eSIMs active simultaneously.
iPhones from Mainland China and iPhone devices from Hong Kong and Macao (except iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone XS) do not support eSIM.
iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max are not compatible with physical SIM cards in the USA.
