Question 1

What is an eSIM?

Accepted Answer

An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your smartphone or other mobile device. It replaces the traditional physical SIM card, removing the need to insert or swap physical cards. You buy an eSIM on our website or in the SimAbove app without visiting a physical store.

Question 2

Which devices are compatible with SimAbove eSIM?

Accepted Answer

The SimAbove eSIM is compatible with over 100 devices, including popular smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Plus, the list of eSIM-compatible devices is ever-growing as newer devices are increasingly designed to support eSIM technology.

Question 3

How to buy an eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Buy an eSIM on our website or in the SimAbove app by selecting your destination and a data plan. After payment, the system automatically links the eSIM to the profile you logged into during the purchase. You receive all eSIM details via email, and the information is also immediately accessible within the website account and mobile app to help you activate your eSIM, track data usage, and top up.

Question 4

Have you deleted or lost your eSIM QR code?

Accepted Answer

If you delete the email with your QR code, log into the SimAbove app or your website account using the purchase email address. After logging in, you access your eSIM and installation details again. If you experience difficulties logging into your account, reset your password. If you need assistance, contact our 24/7 customer support team at support@simabove.com or via WhatsApp.

Question 5

What is the best time to set up eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Set up your eSIM shortly before departure or immediately upon arrival at your destination. We recommend installing the eSIM before you travel to avoid searching for Wi-Fi at your destination. You need an internet connection to install the eSIM.

Question 6

How to set up eSIM on a phone?

Accepted Answer

We prepared a short video guide showing the step-by-step installation process. Follow the video instructions to prepare your eSIM for use within minutes.

Question 7

Do you need to turn on data roaming for the eSIM to work?

Accepted Answer

Turn on data roaming for the eSIM profile to use SimAbove eSIM. Ensure you enable data roaming specifically for the eSIM, not your primary SIM card, to avoid extra charges.

Question 8

What internet speed does SimAbove eSIM provide?

Accepted Answer

With the SimAbove eSIM, you can enjoy internet speeds comparable to what a local SIM card can offer, including access to 4G, LTE, and even 5G networks where available. However, please keep in mind that your device might experience reduced speeds in remote locations or areas with limited network coverage. Rest assured, our eSIM aims to provide you with the best connectivity possible wherever you are.

Question 9

Can you keep your WhatsApp number with the eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Yes, continue using your WhatsApp number while using the eSIM. Your WhatsApp account links to your phone number, not the eSIM card. You use your existing WhatsApp account without interruptions.

Question 10

When does the eSIM data plan start?

Accepted Answer

Your data plan validity period begins when the eSIM connects to a supported mobile network, not when you install the eSIM.

Question 11

Can I get a refund from SimAbove?

Accepted Answer

At SimAbove, we understand that plans change unexpectedly, so we offer refund options to accommodate these situations. You request a refund under the following conditions: if you purchased the eSIM without checking device compatibility, if your travel plans changed and you no longer need the eSIM, or if you experience technical connectivity issues. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Check our Refund Policy for full terms and conditions.

Question 12

Can you use a physical SIM card and an eSIM at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, use your local SIM card and SimAbove eSIM simultaneously if your iPhone or Android device supports Dual SIM and eSIM. Use your physical SIM card for calls and SMS, and use SimAbove eSIM for data. Your operator could apply roaming charges for incoming or outgoing calls and text messages if your primary SIM card remains active.

Question 13

How to remove an eSIM from my phone?

Accepted Answer

Open your phone settings and find the SIM card or mobile network management section. Select the eSIM and delete it from your device. The eSIM stops working automatically after the data plan expires, but we recommend removing it if you do not plan to use it again. This prevents confusion and simplifies future eSIM installations.

Question 14

How to check your remaining data?

Accepted Answer

To check your remaining data balance, log in to the SimAbove account you used to make your purchase. Access your account on our website or through the mobile app to monitor your usage. For a quick overview, check your device data settings directly.

Question 15

Can I use SimAbove eSIM for mobile hotspot?

Accepted Answer
