SimAbove launches Premium Pass, introducing a new way to buy travel eSIMs

Riga, Latvia, September 22, 2026 – European travel eSIM provider SimAbove has launched SimAbove Premium Pass, a new annual membership that gives frequent travellers access to lower Premium prices on eSIM data plans across more than 200 countries and regions.

Starting from €19.99 per year, Premium Pass gives customers access to a separate pricing tier for 365 days, with prices up to 75% lower than SimAbove's standard prices in selected destinations.

The concept is simple: instead of paying the standard eSIM price every time they travel, customers purchase one annual pass and unlock Premium pricing for their trips throughout the year. The more they travel, the more they can potentially save.

"The eSIM market has grown extremely quickly, but the way people buy travel eSIMs has remained largely the same. You travel, buy an eSIM and then start again with your next trip. With Premium Pass, we wanted to change that model. If someone travels several times a year, it doesn't make sense for them to keep paying the full price every time," says Elvis Lazdiņš, CEO of SimAbove.

Three Premium Pass options

SimAbove offers three Premium Pass tiers.

Premium Pass 2 costs €19.99 per year and provides Premium pricing on two eSIMs and two top-ups during the year.

Premium Pass 5, priced at €29.99 per year, is designed for travellers taking approximately three to five trips annually and includes Premium pricing on five eSIMs and five top-ups.

For frequent travellers, Premium Pass 10 costs €49.99 per year and provides Premium pricing on up to ten eSIMs and ten top-ups, with support for two devices.

Premium pricing applies to SimAbove's fixed-data plans. Each Premium Pass becomes active immediately after purchase and remains valid for 365 days. There is no automatic renewal.

The pass can pay for itself in as little as two trips

According to SimAbove, in destinations where mobile data for travellers is traditionally more expensive, including Turkey and the United States, Premium Pass can potentially pay for itself after only two eSIM purchases.

For example, SimAbove's published price comparison currently lists a 10 GB / 30-day Premium price of €4 for Turkey, €8 for the United States, €5 for the United Kingdom, €6 for Japan and €6 for Albania. The comparison uses publicly available prices from Airalo, Saily and Yesim collected on September 21, 2026.

Based on a selection of 12 popular destinations, SimAbove estimates that ten comparable 10 GB eSIMs would cost approximately €66 at Premium prices, compared with approximately €182 using Airalo's publicly listed prices.

A savings guarantee

SimAbove has also introduced a savings guarantee for Premium Pass 5 and Premium Pass 10 customers. If, after 365 days, a customer's total savings from Premium pricing are lower than the amount paid for the Premium Pass, SimAbove credits the difference to the customer's SimAbove wallet.

"We wanted to create a product where the value is very easy for the customer to measure. There are no points to collect and no need to wait for promotional campaigns. Customers can see the standard price and the Premium price side by side and immediately understand how much they are saving on each purchase," Lazdiņš explains.

Premium Pass 5 and Premium Pass 10 customers are also upgraded to SimAbove's Global Traveler loyalty status, providing 10% cashback on purchases paid with real money.

Moving travel eSIMs beyond one-off purchases

With Premium Pass, SimAbove aims to shift travel eSIMs from a one-off purchase made before each trip towards an ongoing service that travellers can use throughout the year.

The company believes the model is particularly relevant for people who take several holidays or business trips each year, as well as travellers who regularly visit destinations outside their mobile operator's standard roaming area.
